I created several UI designs while working for a medical mammography software company to detect cancers in the breast tissue. These designs were based on an iPad layout workflow for Radiologist.

Case Scenario: Based on my visits to clinicians and hospitals, radiologist have to dictate their findings. They are in a dark room, looking at images and reporting on their findings. Many of their findings are the typical normal scenario and because of their workflow and needing to perform the report in one location this was a valuable sought out solution.

For the 80% of exams that are normal, the radiologist could perform the reporting directly from an iPad from anywhere in the clinic. The software would be encrypted and HIPAA-compliant.

With a few clicks the radiologist would complete the report and the system would send the findings to the clinician who would then print out the letter of recommendation and email/mail/upload it to the patient.
