Be proactive

Data Analytics

Objective: Display learning and development data charts showing training qualifications, passes and fails along with
route qualifications, bus qualifications and workforce development at each of the 7 metro bases.

Integrations: I connected and created a workflow for the Hastus database in conjunction with other PowerBi reports to integrate and highlight an interactive data report using Microsoft PowerBi. I maintained, created and presented findings at monthly business review boards with executives, directors and managers.

This data encompasses: 7 bus bases, 50+ training programs, 250+ bus routes, 100+ Bus models, and 3000 students.

My goal was to create easy, interactive and intuitive reports for the GM, Directors, 2 Section Managers,
12 Superintendents, 37 Chiefs and 80 trainers.

  • Training At A Glance: Data to show the highest priority set of programs.

  • Training Class Details: All training classes completed since 2015

  • Route Qualifications: All 250 route qualifications

  • Coach Qualifications: A spectrum of over 26 bus brand and models

Icons & ArcGIS

Problem Case: How to identify and mark areas on the route that users would remember and access on ArcGIS, Artifacts, eLearning and Video Production.

Solution: Create iconography in which is intuitive, easy to capture at a glance and accessible for ADA users.

It all started with icons in the early stages of the ERQ program. Each Icon signified something for the bus operator to look out for. I created an ArcGIS map which had a specific area marked with the icon. When clicking on the icon it would link to video footage of the bus going through that area and to Google Street view so the bus operator could pan around at that specific location when learning the bus route. The icons were also placed in the training videos when filming the routes.

Technical Designs

Objective: Create an updated Trolley Map that could be used in publications and updated easily.

Seattle, WA still uses wired trolleys that are operated by Metro Transit. The last map was created by hand using a pencil.
