Be proactive
Data Analytics
Objective: Present comprehensive learning and development data through interactive charts, showcasing training qualifications, pass/fail rates, route and bus qualifications, and workforce development metrics across all seven Metro bases.
Integrations: I developed and implemented a workflow integrating the Hastus database with existing PowerBI reports to create a dynamic, interactive data dashboard. This report, built in Microsoft PowerBI, was designed to highlight key insights and trends. I maintained the data, generated new reports, and presented key findings at monthly business review meetings attended by executives, directors, and managers.
Scope of Data: The report covered all seven bus bases, over 50 training programs, 250+ bus routes, 100+ bus models, and a workforce of 3,000 trainees.
Goal: The objective was to deliver clear, interactive, and user-friendly reports tailored for the General Manager, Directors, 2 Section Managers, 12 Superintendents, 37 Chiefs, and 80 trainers.
Training At A Glance: Data to show the highest priority set of programs.
Training Class Details: All training classes completed since 2015
Route Qualifications: All 250 route qualifications
Coach Qualifications: A spectrum of over 26 bus brand and models
Icons & ArcGIS
Problem Statement: How can we effectively identify and highlight key areas along bus routes for users, ensuring accessibility through platforms such as ArcGIS, Artifacts, eLearning, and Video Production?
Proposed Solution: Develop intuitive iconography that is easily recognizable at a glance and compliant with ADA accessibility standards.
The initiative began with the implementation of icons during the initial phases of the ERQ program. Each icon was designed to represent specific elements that bus operators should be aware of while navigating routes. I created an ArcGIS map featuring designated areas marked with these icons. Clicking on an icon provides links to video footage of the bus traversing that area, as well as Google Street View, allowing operators to virtually explore the location while familiarizing themselves with the route. Additionally, these icons were integrated into training videos filmed along the routes to reinforce learning.
Tools Utilized: Adobe Illustrator, ArcGIS, Google Maps, Vimeo, and Learning Management System (LMS).
Technical Designs
Objective: Develop a modernized Trolley Map for Seattle, WA, that is suitable for publication and can be easily updated. Given that Metro Transit continues to operate wired trolleys, this new map will replace the previous version, which was manually created with pencil.
Tools Utilized: Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat.
